That’s why she’s introduced the Employer Child Care Incentives (SB256) to encourage businesses to provide childcare options, and the Health Insurance Access bill (SB1019) to expand coverage for essential healthcare services. She’s also been a strong advocate for protecting Oklahomans from hidden fees and business scams (SB986), ensuring that consumers have access to clear and transparent pricing.
Protecting Oklahoma’s children and keeping our communities safe are top priorities for Senator Thompson. Through legislation like SB630, which strengthens laws against sexual violence, and SB838/SB839, which addresses social media dangers for kids, Senator Thompson is working to make Oklahoma a safer place for families. Additionally, her SB913 mandates substance abuse prevention programs in schools to ensure that our youth have the tools they need to live healthy, productive lives.
Senator Thompson is committed to providing Oklahoma’s students with access to innovative and flexible education options. Through SB758, she is advocating for virtual learning options for schools, and SB985 promotes local agriculture by creating the Oklahoma Local Food for Schools Program. Senator Thompson also supports SB664, expanding educational opportunities and workforce development programs to strengthen Oklahoma’s workforce and prepare the next generation for success.
Senator Thompson believes in the importance of protecting Oklahoma’s core values. She’s introduced legislation such as SB942 to prevent discrimination in schools, and SB991 to clearly define and protect against anti-Semitism in Oklahoma. Through her leadership, Senator Thompson ensures that Oklahoma remains a place where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, and where our conservative values are defended.
Senator Thompson is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of Oklahoma families. Through the Make Oklahoma Healthy Again Act, she is fighting to ban harmful food additives that threaten public health, particularly those that affect children’s development. This bill puts the health and well-being of Oklahomans first, while encouraging healthier food options and safer consumer products.
