Kristen Thompson is a conservative leader in the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 22. Since her election in 2022, she has brought private-sector experience and community-first values to the Capitol.
A fourth-generation Oklahoman and University of Oklahoma graduate, Senator Thompson and her husband have built successful businesses in construction and hospitality, creating hundreds of quality jobs for Oklahoma families.
Senator Thompson delivers results. When issues arose with Piedmont’s water infrastructure, she secured $22.6 million in funding for critical upgrades to support the community’s continued growth. She has also led efforts to streamline state government, bringing key functions of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce under one roof to better serve businesses, communities and attract new investments in the state.
As Chair of the Senate Economic Development, Workforce & Tourism Committee, and a leader on key education and commerce committees, Senator Thompson has championed pro-growth policies that strengthen the economy, protect families, expand opportunity and enhance public safety.
Her leadership has earned recognition from organizations including the State Chamber, the District Attorneys Association and The Journal Record, which named her to its Power List of Oklahoma’s top leaders.
Kristen is married to her high school sweetheart, Bryce, and is a proud mom of three and community volunteer. She combines business savvy with grassroots engagement to make Oklahoma a place where families thrive, businesses grow and conservative principles matter.
